    Description

Offered for sale is a set of four small bowls that, I believe, are in the Finecut and Block pattern of Early American Pattern Glass.  If I am incorrect, I apologize, and I hope that some expert in EAPG out there will step forward.  The pattern consists of a scalloped row of fans or sheaves around the top, half of which are ruby stained.   Underneath, there is a row of diamonds or blocks and they are all ruby stained.  The bottom is rayed with a sunray pattern.  The "Finecut and Block" pattern was manufactured by King, Son & Company around 1890 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  The original color productions were:  clear, clear with amber, clear with blue, and clear with pink,  and also solid colors of amber, blue, and canary yellow.  The bowls that I am offering are "ruby stained" and have all of the diamonds (or blocks) in ruby red and half of the fans or sheaves in ruby.  The "stained" wares are more difficult to locate than the clear crystal color so keep that in mind.  Each of the four bowls stands 1 1/2 inches tall and measures 4 inches across.  These may have been finger bowls or small bowls to go with an ice cream set.  The condition is EXCELLENT with no chips, no cracks, no damage at all!!  Hard to find glass from the 1980's with no damage!!  Please see the photos, check my feedback, and ask any questions before making a purchase.  You will be very pleased with these small, delicate, antique bowls!!
