    Description

You are bidding on one (1) new replacement black 5-pin ignition module for most 1972 - 1978 ('72 - '78) Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth cars and trucks that were factory equipped with a 5-pin ignition module.  These look just like the black Chrysler OEM modules but does not have the "Electronic Ignition" decal.  This item can also be used for Marine use as it is Marine rated.
International Buyers - I am sorry but I can no longer offer eBay International Mail as a shipping option, which is handled by DHL, due to a high rate of items not being delivered or taking more than 2 months deliver.
If you are buying two modules they can be shipped together in a Priority Mail Padded Envelope reducing your shipping costs.
Performance Car Graphics offers the Chrysler "Electronic Ignition" decals for .00.  Visit their website.
This ignition module can also be used to convert your 12-volt points ignition system over to an electronic ignition system.  This module is ideal for stock or relatively stock engines with a Mopar electronic ignition set up.  It is a perfect replacement or substitution for the big money orange box 4-pin ignition control module that is not needed on a relatively stock engine.  This item is also a great item to carry in the car as a spare.  This can be used on applications that have either a 4-pin or a 5-pin module.
Build your own electronic ignition kit with one of these modules, an electronic distributor for a '73 or later Mopar from your favorite parts store ( or so for a rebuilt distributor), a '73 or later heavy duty 4-pin ballast resister and a Mopar Performance part number P3690152 wiring harness.  Pre 1970 cars will also need a solid-state voltage regulator such as the one I offer in one of my other auctions.  This ignition module should be installed on a bracket like the factory did or in some other fashion so that it is not flat against a metal surface as the module is heat sensitive and will last longer if air can circulate around the back of the module.
*With a four-pin electronic ignition module and the MOPAR Performance wiring harness you can use a heavy duty ballast resistor with two pins.  A 5-pin module requires the dual ballast resistor and associated wiring.
(*To use a 5 pin control module with the MOPAR Performance part # P3690152 wiring harness and a two pin ballast resistor just eliminate the wire going to pin 3 on the module and use a single element heavy duty ballast resistor for electronic ignition.)
Check out my overall feedback rating and note that I have been on eBay since 2000.  I have sold several hundred of these modules over several years without any complaints.  I can personally attest to this module being a high quality electrical component as my friends and I use these on our own cars and have for several years.  I have been selling these ignition modules on eBay and at the All Chrysler Nationals show in July in Carlisle, PA for many years now and have hundreds of satisfied customers whom I thank for their purchases and for referring others to me to purchase these regulators.
Can any other eBay sellers make these statements?  Do you know if anyone else selling a similar item is selling this exact item made by the same manufacturer with a trouble free history?
Applications also include the following vehicles equipped with alternators:  A-100, Barracuda, Belvedere, Charger, 300, 880, 440, 500, Coronet, R/T, Cuda, Dart, DeSoto, GTS, Daytona, Fury, GT, GTX, Hemi, Imperial, Monaco, Newport, New Yorker, Polara, Power Wagon, Road Runner, Satellite, Savoy, Super Bee, Valiant, Van, D100, D150, D200, D250, D300, D350, W Truck, A, B, C, D Body.
This can be used in custom made installations in street rods, hot rods, rat rods and custom cars and trucks using a 12 volt Chrysler style charging system.
    Application years that this item can be used on:  1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69,70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, 78.
    Questions are welcomed!
    International Buyers – Please Note:
    • Import duties, taxes and charges are
    not included
in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
    • Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.
    • These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up – do not confuse them for additional shipping charges.
    • We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.
Please ask questions before bidding.  Priority mail shipping to Canada and the other countries listed is available for a discounted US postal rate.  Please do not hesitate to inquire for shipping costs outside of the United States.
I try to ship this item out in one business day after I receive your cleared payment.    Please contact me if you need special or expedited shipping other than USPS Priority Mail.
Please inquire about discount pricing on purchasing 5 or more modules.  I would be pleased to list an auction that meets your needs for a quantity greater than the number of modules that are currently offered in this auction.
Even though I have not encountered any defective modules over my several years of selling this item, returns on an installed module will generally not be accepted and require prior approval as this is an automotive electronic item that will only operate correctly if; it is installed correctly, with a proper ground by the mounting bolts in a car that has a properly functioning charging system.  If your car has relatively new paint on the firewall, make sure that the mounting bolts are creating a good ground when you install this item on your car.  Returns on uninstalled "as delivered" modules can be made within 30-days of your receipt of this item.
