    Description

    KP1
    Ignition/Door/Trunk
    KEY BLANK FOR:
    ALL PORSCHE 1967, 1968, & 1969:
    911 & 912
    Key Code Series: FL 1-1800
    Key is stamped
    P79A
and works as a replacement for the following key codes:
    KP1,POR5, PL-16, P79A, or DM3R
.  If your keys have one of these codes on them, you have the right key.  If not, compare the grooves of your key vs. the pictures closely as they must match exactly.
As an important note, this key for late 1960's models has the same profile but is about a
    6mm longer
than the one from the early 60's (the DM4/P69A/PL7/POR2 Key, which I have posted in another listing).   Because it has the same profile, it can actually have 6mm of its tip ground off to convert it into a key to fit earlier models.
If unsure, compare the grooves front and back very carefully and check the overall length of your key.  If your key blade from tip to shoulder is 26.6 mm long and the grooves match exactly, then this is the right key.  Keys for earlier models are 6mm SHORTER.
Another clue that this is the correct key for you is if your current working keys have a key code of "FL" followed by a number from 1-1800 stamped on them.   Check Picture #6 for a pictorial chart of Porsche keys from the 50's through the 90's.
Check my other auctions as I will be putting up lots more interesting classic keys in the upcoming days!
I am a collector who purchases vintage lots of keys. If you have anything special available, I would love to hear from you. Please ask questions and look closely at both front and back grooves on the pictured key prior to bid as I want you to be happy with your purchase.
    T
hanks for looking and HAPPY MOTORING!
