This is the new Lunar New Year: Year of the Rat Pane of 20.
In 2020, the U.S. Postal Service issues the first of 12 stamps in the third Lunar New Year series. The Year of the Rat begins January 25, 2020, and ends on February 11, 2021.
Utilizing blue as the predominant color said to be one of the lucky colors for individuals born during the Year of the Rat the rat mask in the stamp design incorporates elements with symbolic meaning. Several of the patterns were created with the style of Asian textiles in mind and the circle in the center of the rat’s head represents the new moon on which the Lunar New Year begins. A pop of the very lucky color red ties the design in with other common celebratory decorations.
The rat is the first of the 12 zodiac animal signs associated with the Chinese lunar calendar. Many ancient fables and legends explain the origin of the zodiac signs. The most common story tells of the animals racing across a river to determine their order in the cycle.

All orders are shipped from Kansas City, Missouri via USPS Priority Mail service.
Orders over 0 will be shipped USPS Priority Mail with Signature Confirmation.
You can typically expect your order to arrive at your shipping address 4 - 5 business days from the date you place your order.
Order processing for order shipment at USPS takes place Monday through Friday, excluding Postal Holidays (see Postal Holidays section below for complete listing).
Orders may be shipped to all 50 non-contiguous United States including Post Office boxes, US Territories, APO / FPO / DPO addresses, and foreign addresses (international orders).
Handling Fees
All stamp and philatelic product orders are charged .25 for orders up to .00 and .75 for orders .01 and greater.
An additional .00 surcharge will be added to the handling fees for an international order to be mailed to a foreign address (an address outside the United States or its territories).
Why does USPS charge a handling fee?
A Handling Fee is charged to cover the cost of materials and transportation for orders filled through Stamp Fulfillment Services in Kansas City, Missouri.
