Vintage AKRON Ohio Football 25" Banner Pennant

Description

This rare felt pennant is marked AKRON and has the image of an early football player on it. Akron Oh. has a football team that started in 1891. In 1913 the name of the school was changed from Buchtel Univ. to the University of Akron. The team was called the Zippers in 1926 and changed to the Zips in 1950. The tag reads The Reproduction Company,  but it looks pretty old. I am guess it refers to reproducing the image onto the pennant which could have been done long ago.
This is in good condition. It has some holes at the corners and the tip is rough. The image and lettering are pretty nice.
